It seems that you have no intention to pay any amount for the extra time that has been spent on your case. Additionally, I wasted an hour going to the last hearing because you neglected to follow the clear instructions printed on the affidavit. In the past, I have charged clients an additional $100 to make a second trip to the courthouse. That brings your unpaid balance to $600.00.
Please let me know what you intend to do about your balance.
My reply:
At this moment I do not have an extra 500 or 600 dollars. Also, I dropped that affidavit off at your office 4 days before the hearing. Why was it not noticed then that the license wasn't attached? That could have easily been caught. I just spent the last 3 days in the hospital for a mild heart attack brought on by stress. Not that I expect to get any sympathy from your office. Do I need to find another lawyer? Finish this on my own? Once again you mention all the emails I have sent. Do you know that since July 2009 every single time I have called your office I can't leave a message because you keep your mailbox full. So I am forced to email then you want to charge me. That seems somewhat unfair. There is no other way to contact you. When I get your secretary I get placed on eternal hold. So it seems rather unfair for you to charge clients to contact you when there are no other means to reach you other than email. To which most you never reply.
So now what do I do? I called the courthouse to find out if I can schedule this and complete it on my own.
