our adoption news, finally! our baby boy, nathaniel joseph, was born on Monday, Nov. 19, as scheduled. we received placement on wednesday and we're in the hospital with him until tuesday since he has a bit of a cold and is on iv antibiotics until then. but he's doing great and weighed a healthy 8 lb. 3 oz and was 19-1/4" long at birth despite being two weeks early!
his birthmom is a lovely woman and we feel blessed to know her and to have her in our life.
I can't believe that we have a son just three months after signing up with our agency. heck, it was only aug. 2 that we even met with our home study agency for the first time to see what it all entailed.
so, after four years of infertility treatment, six IUI's, six IVF's, one FET with donor embryo and two miscarriages, we are finally parents. and I turn 40 in one week. Just slipped in under the wire since I always said I could handle turning 40 much better if I was already a mom! Whew!!!!
