I've lurked on this board for awhile now. I'm in the 2WW of a donor cycle and it has not been a good cycle. Despite choosing a donor with a 100% success rate in 4 cycles, we only ended up with 6 fertilized embryos--she had 20 eggs retrieved but only 8 were mature. This was our first blow. I feel my ET may have been botched by the fact the embryos had to be re-dished and reloaded after the dr. failed to get the catheter in place the first try. And now we just got the freeze report saying none of the remaining 4 embryos made it to freeze. This wasn't a surprise since none of the donor's other cycles had embryos to freeze, but still, it was disappointing.
Given the general bummerness of this whole thing, I'm trying to prepare myself for next steps in case this doesn't work. What do the doctors usually tell you when a donor cycle fails? Is it a uterine problem or a sperm problem? Just bad luck? All this worrying may be for nothing of course, but I like to be mentally prepared for the worst.
