I was just introduced to this tread by another board and I hope its ok to come here.
My husband and I have been ttc a little girl for now 4 years. After our daughter we conceived again after about 2 years trying and we got a another boy (our third) and then we got pg 2 years later again and we lost in in MC @ 43 years old. So we tried a DEgg Cycle and that failled also due to bad medication from the clinic to my donor. So I asked for donor embryos and they said they wanted to open a program soon but nothing was in place yet. So I went on Embryos Alive and Miracle Waiting but people did not choose us cause we already had children...
So after my failled IVF cycle, I decided I would give myself 3 cycles (45 to 60 days each) to try on my own again with medication and clomid... on the last cycle I got fed up of waiting and arranged for another DE cycle at my clinic.... while waiting for my period on day 44 etc... I got tired of waiting for AF and did a HPT... and it came out positive... I was shocked cause I was then 45 (April 2009). We had done a DEgg cycle to try and avoid egg problems and so unfortunatly we got a bag egg as expected and we just gave birth to a Down Syndrome little guy on Dec 12, 2009.
So still looking to have another "healthy/normal" daughter... I called my clinic in October and asked for the DEmbies program and to my big surprised they were opening that program that same day/week as I called. So I was first on the list and picked donors that had 12 embryos left so I could get siblings. My idea on getting siblings from the same batch was so my child would not feel alone in the world and have a true sibling to share his concerns with.
I had read that the results for DEmbryos FET were like 40% so that meant maybe one child per cycle.... My clinic thaws 4 embryos per cycle so I have 3 trial cycles to get my 2 little babies... and hoping that in those 12 there is a successful little girl that will pop out.
I would love to do a Natural FET and will ask my clinic but the fact is having cycles at 45 days lenght might not be doable but I surely have enough embies I think to give it a try! My clinic is the CNY Fertility Clinic in Syracuse... anyone here knows if they do natural cycles there?
So I would love to talk and share stories with other couples/singles that are thinking of adopting embryos and think they might be doing an FET cycle this year or in the future.
Having a newborn at home is wonderful and so I don't feel the pressures I had when I did my IVF cycle cause if the 3 FET don't work at least I have my little one at home and with DS he will stay baby for a while longer then normal babies 
So just for that reason it might work which would be great. I would love to try the first cycle maybe in November when my little guy will almost be one year old. But then again if it's going to fail I could give it a try earlier... I am now 45 years old and worried that if I wait too long my body might be too old to support pregnancy so?? I think its ok though and even if I only start in Nov 2010 and it failes it would be ok if its in the following year...
Hope to hear about ladies/couples looking to adopt or do an FET with embryo adoptions in the future.
