Well, I THINK I am officially weaned from pumping (have been fading out the last pumping session for a week or more now, last night I pumped for 5 minutes only and tonight I'm not pumping at all- we'll see what happens). I just want to say thank you to all of you who have helped me and answered my questions for the past 13 1/2 months. What a great resource you have provided!
I hated pumping from the very beginning. I had planned on breastfeeding for a year, but when I realized I'd be solely pumping instead I seriously had to take it one day at a time- couldn't think that far ahead. Even though I hated it and am so happy to have so much more free time, I still feel strangely sad. Pumping was NOT the bonding experience that breastfeeding is supposed to be, but I still feel like all this time I have been giving my DS something special that no one else could give him, and I guess now that time is over.
