Hello everyone - surely someone can help me here.
My DD will be 17 months in a few weeks time. She has been shuffling around on her bottom for about three months now (she does not crawl). She can pull herself up on furniture and cruise around the furniture but she is nowhere near walking.
When I hold her hands to get her to walk she will walk for a little bit and then push her arms down and away from me and start shuffling. I have tried the little walking trolleys but after four or five steps she gets fed up and plonks herself down and starts shuffling again.
Granted, she moves like a speeding freight train when she is shuffling - I think that she gets frustrated because she can move so quickly on her bottom but is lagging behind a lot on the walking front.
Do any of you have any similar experiences? Should I be concerned?
Any advice or help would be very much appreciated.
Many thanks
Penelope
