ferda on "New mom struggling with BF"

My son is only 11 days old, and I am losing hope with BF.

I was determined to bf my son and let him to suck in the first hour after his birth (via a c-section). Since then he sucks at least 20 minutes every three hours. Almost all books and doctors tell me that 90% women can bf, so I was so sure that I would eventually be able to bf him. My milk came in on the third day, but from very beginning, the supply was very weak and I still can only express less than 10 ml. My son became fuzzier each time after I bf him. He also dropped 15% of his birth weight by day sixth. So we started to give him formula after each bf session (I still let him suck every two hours during the day, and no sucking in the evening), and then supplement with formula. His appertize grows daily, and now, he needs 50ml-70ml after each bf session (I feed him 7-8 times during the day) and 60-85 ml in the evening without bf session. At the day 11th, I started to feel my breasts are less full before feeding time and my milk seems weaning.

I hate to give up so early. I wonder if any of you have experience with a slower/set back in the beginning and be able to catch up later on?

I also caught a mild cold, and cough daily since day 7th, would that be attributable to my lack of milk?
