I will soon be starting my first DE journey. My DH and I are in the tell camp, as I see a lot of you on these boards are. Are any of you planning on having your child meet the donor? Putting myself in our child's shoes, I'm guessing he will want to meet the donor as soon as he is old enough to understand. I know I would have!
I'm wondering how this is going to work. I'm using an anonymous donor though an agency. She lives on the other side of the country. So, 10 years from now, do I contact the agency and have them track her down, call her out of the blue, and ask "Can you fly to the West coast and meet your donor child"? What if she either didn't update her contact info with the agency, or isn't interested? She did put in her profile that she would be willing to meet the child, but I wonder if 10 years from now she will feel the same way. I'm sure it would be awkward.
Any thoughts?
