I just found out yesterday that I am once again expecting twins. I am 7w and both babies looked good and had good heartbeats. Now for the reason I am scared. On September 11, 2008 I lost my twin boys, Aiden and Samuel when my water broke prematurely at 21w. Both boys lived less than an hour and the doctors were unable to find a reason for my water breaking.
I will have one more u/s with the RE in 2 weeks (May 14) and am also meeting with my OB (who delivered the twins) on May 13. Besides the obvious question of \"what will we do differently this time\", do you have any suggestions for me? I have a 3 1/2 year-old DS (natural conception from before DH had cancer) that I carried to 37 weeks with no problems at all. I am having a really hard time enjoying this pregnancy right now when I know there's no guarantee to take home my babies.
Has anyone else here had a previous late loss and then gone on to have a healthy multiple pregnancy? What things were done to help prevent pre-term delivery? I need all the help I can get and I want to go to that appointment armed with information and questions.
Thanks so much in advance, ladies. I really could use ANY information and advice you have for me.
