My DH and I tried since we got married almost 5 years ago to get pg. We had finally come around to the idea of donor egg. Then I saw the costs. We both know we will be amazing parents and we really just want to have a family, no matter how it comes about.
So with the costs, we decided to try and find a donor embryo through clinics here in Calif. I have started the phone calling and emailing. What I'm worried about, is that through the fancy adoption agencies, I see "45 yr old age limit". I am 45. I will be 46 in November. My dh is 30. He's keeping me soooooo young. LOL. I do not feel 45. I do not look it and my health is perfect.
With donor egg, there was no feeling like my age was an issue. Now all of a sudden I feel it is going to be a road block. Do you think if we were to go on a waiting list for a clinic I'd be not eligible for Donor embryo? This has made my heart sink today.
