hi, i'm new to ivf, and just wanted to ask for some advice/info about when they remove your eggs from your ovaries, prior to it being mixed with the sperm.
i\'ve seen a video of the needle going up the vagina, and then being turned slightly to either the left or the right (depending on where the eggs are), and the needle going through the ovary, and it looks painful and uncomfortable. is it?
is this the way they retrieve the eggs, and are you put to sleep for this or do they just numb the area? it looks really painful and uncomfortable and quite frankly i'm not looking forward to it!
