I'm just wondering what the "norm" on here is since it seems most of the women I run into must not have made it nursing past 3-5 months. When I tell my friends how often my son nurses, they are astonished. To me it doesn't seem out of the norm. I believe my twins were getting 4 bottles a day till a year, maybe 3 by 9 months or so....he is nursing 5 times a day (7, 11, 2:30, 4:30 & 6:30 roughly). He also is a fantastic solids eater and is pretty much totally on finger foods now and has a huge appetite. He started out big (over 9 pounds) and is a very lean baby for how long he is...sometimes I wonder if his metabolism is just sky high...or if it's totally normal and the people I speak with just don't know what it's like to be breastfeeding an 8 month old?
