shumirai on "2 to 1 reduction and gender"

I'm wondering whether people did or did not find out the gender of the fetuses prior to reduction. I'm not sure which to do but am just generally so confused and overwhelmed right now as my husband and I consider a 2 to 1 reduction. We have a 3 1/2 year old daughter right now and conceived twins spontaneously. There are a number of things that are factoring into our decision but it is the most agonizing one of my life. Even though we did not do ivf, finding this board has been an amazing help.
