I'm 43 and I will be starting another IVF cycle soon. I have been on max stims before, but this time, the ratio is different. I'll be taking 450iu of Follistim/GonalF and 150iu Menopur. I am also doing estrogen priming right now one month before I start stims. The EPP is 25 days of estrace (4mg/day), with progesterone starting CD16 through CD25.
My last IVF, I did max stims with the ratio being 300iu Follistim and 300iu Menopur. I'm wondering why the change to 450iu Follistim and 150iu Menopur? I'm thinking that it is because my FSH is higher? Last time it was checked, it was 15.4, higher than it was for my last IVF. I'm a bit worried that the high amount of FSH/Follistim will cook my eggs? Anyone have any thoughts on the high amount of follistim or have success with a similar protocol? I'll also be on HGH during my stims.
