riccardomorri on "Donor ET Timing (m/c ment)"

Hello everyone,

I've read a lot of the boards, but can't seem to find my answer.

I am 43 and had an initial twin pregnancy (with my own eggs) that failed to continue at 7 weeks. I had a d/c at 9 weeks about 1 month ago. My RE mentioned I need to wait 2 full cycles before I can cycle again and he calculated that I could most likely cycle in early August. Since the consult DH and I have decided we are ready for donor egg. I have not had a period since the d/c.

Do I have to wait two full periods for a donor egg cycle, or is that only for a full IVF cycle?

We already found a donor we like a lot through our clinic (I feel lucky, but also expect it to fall apart). My donor is retrieving for her current cycle at the end of this month (June). The coordinator needs to know as soon as I start my period because if all goes well the donor should start her period the first week or so in July. I haven't even had one period yet, how am I going to get two in?

The coordinator said the donor would be on BCPs for 3 weeks then start stimulating. That sounds like stimulating Aug 1. I *might* have two periods by then if they can start me on BCPs later. Am I cutting this too close?

It is a split cycle so there will also be a third party to synchronize.

I know I need to ask my RE (and I will soon), but I am afraid he will say no and I don't want to hear it yet because I desperately do not want to lose this slot :-(

Thank you for any insight/options you can give on time to donor ET after a D/C. I'd be happy for any input on the DE synchronization process as well since I am brand new.

~ zia
