I'm struggling with something and I need some help.
My son *really* wants to do boy scouts. I think he would love it. It's totally him. A neighbor that he likes is in scouts, and that would be fun for them to do together.
A requirement for joining says that we have to submit medical records. Stuff that is NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS. I called the corporate office about this and they confirmed that he needs his records submitted in order to participate. They want to make sure that he can safely participate. I get that they need to make sure everyone is safe, but couldn't we just have a doctor sign something saying that he is able to participate?
Dh and I feel like this is a deal breaker. It just isn't right. Isn't this a HIPPA violation?
DS is going to be so heartbroken.
Putting aside the fact that some of you are anti-boy scouts...can you help me figure out a work around? Or do I have to let ds down?
