I was DX'd with MTHFR, was told it was genetic, and have been taking my folic acid and B12 everyday- for the rest of my life, as they advise for my health.
My Brother has been having health issues as of late, and even though I told my family that I had it, and it was genetic, and all they needed to do was take folic acid & B12 vitamins, I know none of them paid any attention to me.
My brother is 55y.o., and he had a dizzy spell at work the other day.
The had him in the hospital for tests (going through your large veins in your legs to see if there is too much blockage, and things like that.
They didn't find anything except high-ish cholesterol and BP.
I reminded him again about the MTHFR,
Do you guys have any ideas as how MTHFR can effect men, and any tests they should be taking because of it?
I'm very nervous about this ...
