Lorenzo on "My baby (ok, more like toddler!) gave up her pacifier last night!"

My little girl (3.3 y.o.) gave up her pacifier yesterday! This is a huge deal in our household...she was a preemie and had food withheld from her because of many intestinal issues and was on a TPN iv for way too long so her comfort has always been her pacifier.
She started chewing on it this weekend and yesterday showed me that she actually chewed through part of it (yikes, dangerous! I used to always give her a new paci every so many months but this paci was 2 days old!). So I told her it was broken and was she ready to give it up? She said \"yes\" and then I explained to her that means no more pacifier...she said \"ok\" (like it was no big deal...it was a huge deal to me!). That night, as she climbs into bed she says to me \"I don't need a pacifier anymore, Mommy.\" Oh my goodness, I was amazed!
