3 1/2 weeks ago I miscarried my twins at approx 9 weeks pregnant after what appeared to be a perfect pregnacy
hcg levels dropped from 11000 to 900 for the first hcg test, there was no second hcg test but yesterday I took a 2 ept tests that came out negative with only a hint of pink line. (The line was not dark enough to count as anything more than a water mark so nada on the hope that I could still be preggers)
I developed an infection and was put on antibiotics shortly after my mc but was told it was ok to go on vacation. At that point I was told my cervix was closed and my womb had cleared. (he did a vaginal sonogram)
At 2 week post mc the bleeding stopped but the nausea has not stopped. Instead it has increases to the level I was having before I mced the twins. I am notoriously sick to my stomach when pregnant and I know a certain level of nausea is to be expected after a mc but it should be clearing out by now not getting stronger. I've never had nausea last this long after a mc.
My OB says it is normal and to relax, that additional tests etc are not needed and unless the fever returns I should not worry about infection at this point. Over the months I've made my opinion of small town medical care clear so I guess it is not a suprise I am concerned.
Can someone else tell me this level of morning sickness is normal at this late of a date. I keep imagining that I am still infected or pregnant and it is making me crazy.
PS PLEASE do not suggest pregnancy as an option unless you are really sure as it would bring me more fear than hope. After being told I was definitely NOT pregnant I took meds that were not baby safe (nyquil and phenergan) and drank while on vacation. Also I stopped taking the vitamins. I am truely terrified by the thought I could be pregnant after taking such terrible care of myself.
