mine is 9 mos old. up until a couple of weeks ago, he nursed every 2 hours and it was kinda inconvenient (as i work f/t), but not the end of the world. he's been refusing bottles and cups for about 4 months now. last couple of weeks, he's been challenging- he's never been patient about letdown, but now he fights and fusses and goes from one side to the other while he waits for letdown. esp toward the end of the day, he will nurse a little, grab my nipple, push, pull, try to sit up, try to get to the other side, look all around... sometimes he'll finally settle down, and sometimes, like just now, i try him for 10 minutes and give up and put him to bed.
i moved him to nursing every 3 hours and that helps somewhat.
he eats some but not a ton of solids- doesn't really like baby food- but will eat sandwiches, eggs, crackers, fruits, veggies, cheerios- finger foods. he'll eat whatever we give him, we just haven't really focused on his having regular meals b/c he seems fine with the nursing. i'm assuming his weight gain is fine- we haven't been to the ped in 3 months- go next week again- but he's certainly heavier, grown out of his clothing, etc etc
i can't imagine it's teething b/c his brother got his first tooth at 17 months, so early teething doesn't seem to run in the family.
any and all suggestions appreciated. TIA
