I have an 11 day old and her days and nights are totally off. She is so sleepy during the day. She will sleep 5 hours if let her. I wake her up every 3 hours but have a hard time keeping her up. She will eat and go back to sleep. I undress her to diaper and give her 10 minutes to wake up. I change her diaper, do tummy time, play music, but she keeps going back to sleep. I even have a hard time keeping her wake for a full feeding at daytime. Then she is up ALLLL night - totally wide awake, big eyes, wants to have multiple feedings in a row, be held, be talked to, etc. I am so tired as I have an older dd and can't sleep all day myself. I thought by waking her up during the day she would sleep at least 3 or 4 hours once at night, since she can do that during the day.
Anyway, thank you for reading this far. Please tell me how long this lasts and anything else I shoud be doing.
