Hi Ladies,
My first pregnancy was with twins. I ended up going into preterm labor at 21 weeks. My cervix had shortened to 1 cm. and I was in the hospital for 2 weeks on terbutaline but my cervix continued to shorten and began to dilate and I lost the babies. I am now pregnant again and wondering if I will need a cerclage. Has anyone had similar circumstances? My doctor does not know the cause of the preterm labor - whether the cervical shortening caused preterm labor or the other way around. Also, I had a large fibroid (outside my uterus) that may have contributed to the preterm labor. Would love to hear others' stories about subsequent pregnancies. Thanks!
