Hi ladies - long post, but input appreciated. We had a donor picked out through SDFC, but her most recent cycle didn't go well and they are recommending she no longer donate (we had decided to find new donor when we heard her fert report even before they told us this).
So, after debating inhouse and agency donor, we may have found another donor through the SDFC inhouse donor pool, but...... There are two we are looking at,both 22, neither has donated before, but one has a biological child. One with child has antral follicle count of 30 and the other has count of 28. Since they have never donated they still have a lot of screening to go through, and I am just curious as to what I should be concerned about. We had always thought "proven" only, but now have decided that it just prove they are going to be good for our cycle, so why not look at unproven donors as well. We are leaning towards the donor with bio child, but the antral follicle counts for both have me concerned. I did a little bit of reading and it says with this many they have a higher chance of overstimming on meds on even low dosages of meds? I want to be sure the re tries to get most eggs possible, while being safe. But I don't want them to be so conservative we only end with a few. If anyone has any experience with this I would appreciate input. The donor with bio child has her physical next Friday and should have her FSH done the following week. If all were to go well and either turns out to be "the one" then we would be looking at June Cycle.
About me - this will be our 2nd DE cycle (frest and fet from first donor). I have 3 bio kids and would like to have child with DH#2 so going this route due to my age of 42. We have done a lot of testing, including beta3 integrin biopsy, and just about all bloodwork possible. Decided to go to SDFC this round to increase our odds, but want to make sure we look at necessary varibles that pertain to donors as well.
I am happy about the antral follicle counts, but at the same time concerned, so wanted to reach out to see if anyone could offer any insight.
Thanks - Anna
