potoci on "Gas, Reflux, Dairy Sensitivity??"

My DS is 5 weeks old and drinks exclusively breastmilk. After every feeding he is so uncomfortable-gets so stiff, cries, takes forever to burp, sticks tongue out, gags and coughs sometimes. My first DS had reflux, but he was a preemie and I feel like everything is new again and I don't know what I'm doing.
It does seem worse if I have something high in dairy-I've tried cutting out the obvious things, then caved and had a Frosty at Wendy's 2 days ago and he's been horrible since. Grunting in his sleep all night last night. He only spits up maybe every other feeding, and usually a small amount, where as my first DS would spit up out his nose and mouth during, after, and between feedings.
So, I'm definitely going to do my best to cut out obvious dairy (icecream, milk, yogurt). Could it just be an immature digestive system and as he gets older it will get better?? Or could it be reflux? I hate to see him so uncomfortable-how do you know if it's a true dairy allergy-I'm assuming it's some related sensitivity since it get worse w/dairy--but he still has many symptoms when I restrict it.
He's so gassy and has a terrible time getting it out, too. My first DS got much better at about 6 months, which would have been 3 months corrected, so I'm wondering if things will look up as he gets older.

Just looking for any related input from anyone. I did read the recent dairy thread here--just looking for some support and needed to vent!! Thanks for listening!
