So DH is deathly afraid of flying and we are doing a DE cycle out of state beginning of February. I could probably drug him up and get him on a plane, or maybe have him take the train, but to be honest, it is very stressful on me to do this. So I am investigating the thought of using his sperm but using it frozen, then he would not have to fly there with me.
So he would have to give his sample(s) (where?), then have them shipped to our out of state clinic (how?).
Is this something his urologist could do for us?
I know fresh would be best, but women use frozen donor sperm all the time, so would it be so bad? My doc says that it would be frozen in different vials and they would thaw one vial to make sure they can thaw okay and they looked good. Then they would that the other vials on ER day.
Just looking for your opinions about this and some pointers on how this is done.
Thanks
