Can anything go well for me? Even for a minute?
Evidently not.
So I had an RE appt today for my endometrial biopsy. I asked the RE if she had met my donor yet. RE couldn't remember, so she went to grab the donor's file. Turns out they've had a ***** of a time getting the donor to respond to their phone calls. THey did manage to get her in for day 3 testing (FSH was 6.5, E2 was 60. Both results were described as "beautiful", although I am not so sure). Later the secretary told me that the donor blew off three phone screen appointments, and the agency was disappointed about the donor's behavior. The RE secretary says the donor's behavior is unusual.
WTF.
I've phoned/e-mailed the agency. THe coordinator is in a meeting and said she'd contact the donor and call me by the end of this day.
My husband is freaking out. We've already paid the agency fee of $5500 and the donor has done testing. I think we are locked in with her. I feel like we are going to get screwed again. I want to ****ing scream right now.
I hate this.
The donor is proven... has cycled twice resulting in two pregnancies.
In other annoyances: the donor's profile SPECIFICALLY indicated that she would be open to communicating with intended parents. I asked the agency if I could send a photograph of us with a letter telling a bit about our story and how gratfeful we are to have found her. The agency e-mailed the donor with this request, and (20 days later) I was told that, while she hopes the very best for us, she does not want to receive a letter or photo.
It seems like we were sold a bill of goods... and now the rules have changed.
