I had a missed miscarriage and a d&c last Friday after being told 8 days before our baby had died. I was doing fine after the d&c only lightly spotting and then 5 days later I start having severe cramps and passing large clots. I thought the whole point of the d&c was to get rid of this stuff. The following morning I had to go to the ER because of the pain and the u/s shows I still have stuff in my uterus - they don't know if it is clots or retained tissue so now I have to take the pills to make my uterus contract and if that doesn't work another d&c on Tuesday. Why can't anything work for me? How much do I have to go through? And even after all this I don't even have a baby to take home.
