Wulfman on "Urgent prayers for goddaughter-God, death and sickness ment"

Hello-Many of you might remember about my god-daughter Deanna, aka Superwoman the Second. She has managed to hang on for 3 years now thru things that would take an elite athlete down-to start out with, she has agensis of the corpus collosum, moderate mental challenges, and a heart problem. She has been tube fed from birth. On Dec. 19, 2007 during a random checkup they noticed she has a lot of air in her bowels. This led to an illostomy affectionatly named "Clarice", a "J" tube, then finally fed thru her veins with something called TPN. Dee has been on the brink of going home many, many times. Each time-thru pnemonia, 27 surgies, implanting a central line, and now finally is in ICU on a vent. Her parents have to make a decision on whether to turn the vent off and send her home (although the DRs don't think she will make it out of the hospital). She has a six inch wound from her 3rd surgery in 2 weeks to repair perfs-holes, in her bowels. This last time-Friday-they got in there and said it looked like Swiss Cheese. To complicate matters, the wound on her stomach is ++ for 3 infections and it is open-open!-and hooked up to a wound vac. This kid looks wired for NASA in that ICU: illostomy, cathater bag, G-tube, central line, and wound vac. So now her parents have 2 choices: if they go back in, they can take out all of her bowels -leaving just a little for her to eliWulfmante from Clarice-or they could send her home on the wound vac. They can't sew up the surgery site b/c she is retaining fluids, and swelling badly. The sides won't meet. The reason that they would take out the intestine would be for her to be more comfortable since these holes and obstruction keep coming up. I truly don't understand all of it, but I know that my best friend Shelly and her husband Don has to make a decision, and soon.
So, I am asking for prayers/good wishes. She is aware, that is what makes this thing so hard. No one could predict how long it would actually take for her to pass on. Please pray that she get just one last time at home and can die there, with her parents and her therapy dog. My friend Shelly said, "I don't care if it is for 12 minutes or 12 days, because I am going to make that into 12 lifetimes.
God bless you all for reading-I am going to hug my kids right now.
-Wulfman
