hindomari on "27w4d scan, one baby measuring small-anyone have this happen?"

Hi Ladies -
I had my 27w4d growth scan yesterday and they discovered that one baby is significantly smaller than the other. I am living in Denmark, so the weights are given to me in kilograms...when I convert to pounds, the small baby is shown at 1.89 lb, which they say is 25% below a \"normal\" singleton. They say anything more than 22% below a \"normal\" singleton weight is \"abnormal\" for twins. The other baby is measuring at 2.3 lb, which is 10% below a \"normal\" singleton (normal for twins). The doctor said this is not unusual with twin pregnancies, and the reason the difference in size of the babies is becoming more apparent now is because this is a high growth period during the pregnancy. They are scanning me every 2 weeks now to monitor the situation. The doctor said it is good news that they see nothing wrong with the pregnancy other than the growth rate (ie there are no cord flow issues, blood flow issues, amniotic fluid issues, etc). She said it is probably just due to the location of the placentas/babies in my body so that one is getting more nutrients than the other.
Has anyone had this happen to them this late in the pregnancy? My last scan was at 23w4d and since everything had been looking good up to that point (babies were almost exactly the same size then) I kind of assumed things would continue that way. Now I am worried...looking for someone who has had experience with this and can offer any advice.

Thanks,
Beth
