Another BFN for me (just found out yesterday) and I am trying to decide what to do next.
My history:
Both dh and I are 33. My only d/x is moderate endo, which apparently ruined all my eggs. We've been ttc #1 for 9 years now.
We've done:
7 IUIs -- all BFNs
5 IVFs -- 4 BFNs and 1 chemical
2 DE IVFs -- 2 BFPs (first resulted in a triplet pregnancy, which we lost after hearing heartbeats and the second one in a blighted ovum pregnancy)
1 DE FET -- only 1 out of 3 high quality blasts survived the thaw -- found out yesterday it was a BFN
2 laparoscopies to remove endo
2 hysteroscopies to check uterine cavity (once a couple of small polyps were removed)
Extensive immune testing (all normal)
Test for Beta-3 Integrin (normal)
Have always had perfect lining (anywhere between 9 and 13 mm for each transfer)
My clinic is new and inexperienced when it comes to DE and FET cycles. They did only 15 DE and 6 FET cycles in total last year. However, they have high success rates for IVF in general (over 150 patients last year, almost 60% success rate). We love our RE and the staff. They are compassionate and caring. They've cried with us when we had m/cs and we feel like they are a part of our family. This is our forth RE in 9 years. We've been with him for 1 IVF cycle with my own eggs and the 2 DE IVF cycles.
My donor was my sister, who is 30 and has had two easy pregnancies. We were shocked to find out that her FSH is 9.5. She produced only a few eggs per cycle, but a lot of them made it to blast.
What would you do based on what I just told you?
1. Change to another clinic or stay with my current one? They might be able to find a proven donor for me in house.
2. Go to Cornell or Oregon Reproductive Centre for my next cycle. Can you please share your stories of going to either one? What's the cost of a cycle at each after all the expenses?
Thanks for reading my long post. My dh says that we'll never give up. He sees me with my nieces and nephews and says that I would make such a great mom. He's willing to sell the house and do whatever it takes to finance our treatments, even though we have already spent over $80,000 out of pocket over the years.
