Koliousis on "What was the reason for blighted ovum?"

I was wondering what leads to blighted ovums.

I had one and my RE said it`s usualy due to a chromosome abnormality(my embryos were created from a 24y.o egg donor and 52y.o sperm) .

I would really like to know.
