OK, There is this obviously homeless woman at my train station. I first noticed her when I ran for the train and the doors closed and she was just sitting there. I thought she may just we weird so I just let her be and went to work. The next day, I saw her again, on the same spot, never asks for anything, just sits there, surrounded by bags.
The following week, I bring her a meal on my way to work, sometimes it is just a fruit and a bag of chips.
Been doing this for a while.
Now this AM, I was approached by a fellow commuter and told that I should stop giving her cooked food, because if she gets sick from food poisoning or allergies or something, I will get sued!!!!!!
I don't want to get sued, and fruit and chips alone are not really food. I don't wnat to give her money, because I don't know what she is going to use it for.
Can I get sued? Anybody knows of social services# I can call to help her?
