Hi. I am still nursing my son who is almost two and a half. He only nurses at night and before bed. he used to nurse for naps too but I rarely nap him at home anymore. He wakes up usually twice a night and often early morning and he needs to nurse backt o sleep. I really don't like it anymore but I usually give in because we co sleep and I don't want him to wake up his sister. I usually give him a little bit of boobie at night and then I saw no more, all done, no more milk, mommy's tired etc. and he will eventually put himself to sleep by rolling around etc and tucking his face into teh bed and mattress. I think if he had more space he would probably wake up less and then eh wouldn't need to nurse.
I try to talk to him in the day about him being a big boy but he doesn't really care about being a big boy in this regards at all.
I am just wondering if anybody has any suggestions from personal experience with weaning older toddlers. I really hate it now.....I am so cranky at night now...I the nipple pulling etc...it used to be relaxing but it hasn't been for almost a year.
