For those of you who have been through s/r I am wondering if you have any advice for the day of (mine is next Weds). For example:
-I don't think I want to eat for a few hours beforehand because I am worried about too much movement making it harder to do (I ate before cvs and everyone was moving around in there like crazy.) Thoughts?
-Did you have any special things or rituals you did beforehand to get yourself in as ok a state of mind as possible? I am torn between staying busy and going for a quiet walk to sort of communicate with the one who will be leaving me.
-Were there medical residents in the room during your procedure. There was one in the room during cvs and the doctor explained a lot to him. I am all for teaching doctors how to do this but I don't want to hear a play by play beyond what is necessary for the sonographer to do the job so I may tell the doctor this.
Thanks for all of your time and support.
