aristagora on "Boys name dilema, any thoughts?"

Hi, I am 35w with our 2nd DS, we are English living in France. Our first DS is called Thomas Garrett after my FIL and my Dad. Thomas works well in France eventhough it's pronounced Toma. We call him Tommy, Tom, Tom Tom & Thomas!! Fast forward to this little one, would like another English family name. DH and I do not love each others choices but happy to compromise it's just our French neighbours & friends pull faces at our ideas saying they are too old fashioned and may cause him to be picked on in school!!

As a nick name the bump is called Jerry which funnily enough as a name on it's own we both love but having & brother called Tom I don't think would be fair? So we were toying with Albert, my Great Grandad's name. Again it hasen't gone down well with out French friends. I wouldn't normally bother about other peoples opinions but would hate him to be singled out because of a name.

Yesterday DH came up with an idea Albert Jerry giving us the option of calling him AJ? What do you think? Any other ideas welcome.
