Hi,
Me 42, FSH 6.5 & 7.7, AMH 2.8, AMA & \"unexplained\"
DH 39, varicocele, low sperm count, motility and morph okay
I'm 42.5. I've done 1 IUI and 2 IVF's at RBA in Atlanta. They did a great job and are a great clinic but so far BFN each time. I have one more IVF paid for there, but feel unmotivated to do the same thing again and feel like i'm going to get the same result again. I feel like there is just something missing here.
I am considering getting a phone consult from CCRM. Or trying to go to Cornell. I don't know if this is really realistic and if it's really worth spending the extra money if my age is the problem.
1st IVF at 41yo we had 10 eggs 8 fertilised (not as high as expected as I'm a \"robust\" responder) and 8 mature. We transferred 4 blasts. On long lupron protocol which I think was not the best for me.
2nd IVF at 42.5 yo we did ganirelix protocol and that went better.
19 eggs, 15 mature, 12 fertilised. Transferred 5 blasts. Embryo quality was much improved this cycle as well.
The only diagnostics we've had is the usual, fsh,lh,estradoil, thryroid, std's, seman analysis, HSG, SHG.
Do we need more tests? Does CCRM & Cornell check more things? Should we do the SCSA test on the sperm? Or is it really just my age?
thanks. not sure what to do at this point. I'm waiting for medical records to send me my latest cycle and then plan to have a phone consult with CCRM.
im sooooo frustrated!
ps- a friend of mine just gave birth at 42.5. natural, but she had previous kiddos.
