I am throwing this out there if there is anyone who can give some advice. I had IVF done in May 07(unfortunately did not work). I paid up front for the procedure then insurance kicked back that they DID pay a big chunk. Then almost a year later in March 08 the clinic called and said they want the $ back, insurance came and took it back. How can they "take it back" almost a year later??? I had switched clinics since then, and had IVF 2 more times out of pocket. Now I am in collections and just got a nasty call from someone round about threating me that he will find out where I work. My DH just got laid off and I work pt. I can barely pay for a roof over my head! Can they come after me?? I tried to work with office but they obviously sent it to collections now. Sorry to vent so long but any and all help is appreciated! What can I do legally, or what can a collections agency do legally? Anyone know or can give advice will greatly appreciate it.
