Has anyone had experience with having a sister or brother be an egg or sperm donor? We are considering a sibling donor and have spoken to a counsellor. The counsellor has given great advice, but also suggests we reach out to other parents or would-be parents who have used sibling donors to see what potential emotional issues and stresses may come up during and after the process - both for successful and unsuccessful outcomes - as well as further down the parenting road.
The donor is happy to undertake all relevant tests and procedures relating to the process, so that's not an issue.
I'd appreciate any thoughts and insights from sibling donors or recipients, or from others who know of these types of situations.
